School of Management and Leadership

The School of Management and leadership is at the moment the main school at the Management University of Africa. Programs offered range from undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and professional programs. The school has a very vibrant faculty with a good blend of industry and academic qualifications to teach management and leadership courses.

 

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP (BML)

The Bachelor of Management and Leadership programme (BML) seeks to develop competent, well trained and morally upright business leaders who will serve in various organisations and the community at large. The programme examines issue related to growth, change, and globalisation in developing countries and poor regions of the world considering the numerous economic, environmental, societal and public challenges facing developing countries today. The aim of the programme is to produce graduates who are catalysts for development.

The BML programme has the following options:

  4. Purchasing and Supplies Management.
  5. Entrepreneurship Development;
  6. Environmental Management;

The leadership and management subjects in the programme are designed with strong emphasis on social science theory and practice relevant to student experiences and the local environment. The graduates will find employment with in the both private and public sectors in management and administration positions.

 

BACHELOR OF DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (BDS)

The Bachelor of Development studies is tailor made for students interested in working for non-governmental organisations. The courses are designed to put emphasis on wealth creation, project management and environmental sustainability issues.

The BDS programme has the following options:

The BDS graduates are highly sought after by not-for –profit organisations working in Kenya, both local and international.

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (B. Com)

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programme seeks to develop individuals best suited to work in the banking and Finance sector. However, the programme as offered by the Management University of Africa puts strong emphasis on entrepreneurship with graduates expected to be job creators instead of job seekers.
