 Are you (MUA) legal?

Yes, MUA is legal and is operating under a Letter of Interim Authority (LIA) since 2nd September 2011. Check www.cue.or.ke

Is MUA Chartered? 

According to the Commission for University Education (CUE), a new university operating under LIA must complete 31/2 years before applying for a charter. MUA has met the requirement and has applied for the charter.

Does the University have accommodation for students?

MUA recommends hostels that have been vetted by the University within the neighbourhood.

Does MUA give scholarships?

MUA supports bright needy students through the Endowment Fund after being vetted and meeting the criteria required.

Is MUA registered with Higher Education Loans Board? 

MUA is registered with Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). Students of MUA benefit from HELB loans just like any other Kenyan student.

Do you offer exemptions?

Ye, The university recognizes prior learning and offers exemptions from diploma level and above.

If I am a diploma graduate from KIM, how many credit transfer units am I entitled to?

KIM Diploma graduates enjoy up to 49% of the total courses for the programme applied for.

What is the difference between BCOM and BML?

BCOM has more Business oriented courses and the students are prepared to become business professionals while BML has more leadership oriented courses and the students are prepared to become leaders in the society and in corporate organizations.

Is ODEL recognized as a way of learning? 

Yes, ODEL is recognized as a way of learning by Commission for University Education.

As an ODEL student in outside Nairobi, how do I access my reading materials?

Visit the University Library Portal through the University website at elearning.mua.ac.ke upon registration of courses.

Do I interact with my lecturers as an ODEL student?

The Lecturers will make regional visits.

For distance learning students, do I have to take my exams in Nairobi?

No, There are 7 other centers other than Nairobi where you can take your exams. That is Nakuru, Narok, Kisumu, Eldoret, Mombasa, Embu and Nanyuki.

What is the difference between the academic Masters and the Executive Masters programme?

The executive programmes target professionals and  prepare them for top leadership in their organizations while the academic masters programmes  prepares one for top leadership in one’s organization as well as academic progression (PhD) and academic career.

What time are the classes?

Our programmes are flexible. We have Day, Evening and Weekend ONLY classes.
