Open and Distance Learning (ODeL)

Open and Distance Learning programme (ODeL) started to give a chance to those who can not physically come to class. In this programme, students have to spare 2hours every day to attend lectures virtually. BDL and BDS programmes currently running. The programe has students in a cross section of regions with Embu leading, followed by Narok, Mombasa, Nairobi, Eldoret, Kisumu and Nakuru.

 Notes

 

  1. Students are expected to submit the two written assignments (CAT&WBA) on by the 8th week of the semester to their regional ODEL office (KIM branch Centre), failure to which they will not be eligible for the semester exams.
  2. Students are expected to read/access to their group email in order to receive university communications at least three times in a week.
  3. It is important that students consult each of their course lecturers at least once a month to be able to get updates of the global happenings in the area as they clarify other issues concerning the unit. NB. It is the student to initiate this and the university is facilitating the lecturers to mentor each student on the same
  4. All examinations will be taken at the main MUA south C campus (Nairobi) and 7 other regional centers (Narok, Mombasa, Embu, Nanyuki,  Nakuru, Eldoret and Kisumu) as per university examinations schedule. Each student should indicate his /her preferred regional center
  5. Students will be expected to have fully paid their fees to be eligible for the semester examinations.
