It supports the University in accomplishing its goals through the planning and allocation of financial and physical resources.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5875f97 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5875f97\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Finance, Budgeting and Procurement<\/strong><\/p><p>The Finance, Budgeting, and Procurement department is committed to delivering customer-focused financial services. We value teamwork within the University and embrace a customer care approach in handling our internal and external clients.<\/p><p>The department supports the University in accomplishing its goals through the planning and allocation of financial and physical resources. We also provide financial reports to the University Governing Council to enhance University decision making, planning, and policy formulation in adherence to the University charter and statutes. Our services are guided by our service charter.<\/p><p>The key department\u2019s functions include:<\/p><ul><li>Management of the University\u2019s financial resources and management of the investment portfolio.<\/li><li>Coordination and control of budgets, preparation of financial reports and statements, and coordination of external audits.<\/li><li>Advising the Chief Accounting Officer on financial matters and liaising with relevant stakeholders such as banks and Kenya Revenue Authority.<\/li><li>Interpret, implement, and enforce the University procurement policy.<\/li><li>Provide advice to the University on all matters relating to procurement.<\/li><li>Coordinate the preparation of annual consolidated procurement plans.<\/li><li>Prepare, publish and distribute procurement and disposal opportunities (including invitations to tender and expressions of interest).<\/li><li>Monitor contract management by user departments to ensure implementation of contracts in accordance with the terms and conditions.<\/li><li>Purchase all goods and services to obtain maximum value for the money expended.<\/li><li>Expedite deliveries of undelivered orders, services, materials, and equipment.<\/li><li>Secretariat to the Procurement Committee.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-56a2cc0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"56a2cc0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Fee payment<\/strong><\/p><p>Fee payments may be done via direct bank deposit, transfer or Mpesa paybill.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-63d8ab9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"63d8ab9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Fee Payment Deadlines<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Late unit registration shall attract a penalty of Ksh. 500 per day. No student shall be allowed to register three weeks after the start of the semester.<\/li><li>The deadlines for fee installments are the first installment (60%) due during the unit registration period, the second installment (20%) due on the 5<sup>th<\/sup> of the second month and the third installment (20%) due on the 5<sup>th<\/sup> of the third month.
