The Management University of Africa (MUA), the only chartered organization in Kenya to train and examine Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) courses is pleased to invite applications for international professional courses leading to professional diploma and advanced diploma in CILT.

MODE OF STUDY

We have DAY, EVENING, WEEKEND as well as DISTANCE LEARNING mode.

EXAMINATION ADMINISTRATION

The students undertaking the courses sit for the final comprehensive examination at the end of the six (6) months in June and November at MUA premises.

The exams are managed by the university in collaboration with CILT (International).

FEE CHARGED

  • The fee charged is Ksh. 90,000 for the six months programme.
    Additional costs payable once.

The applicants to this program must satisfy any of the following minimum admission requirements:

AADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

Entry Requirements:

The advanced Diploma in Logistics and transport is offered to

i)  Bachelor’s degree holders who majored in purchasing and supplies management, or its equivalent from a recognized learning institution,

Or;

ii) To a professional diploma holder in CILT from a recognized learning institution.

The duration of the programme shall be six (6) months, offered in modular form.

  4. Delivering Strategic Performance
  5. International Business
  6. Research Methods and Professional Project

B. PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

Entry Requirements:

i) Secondary education (KCSE)certificate with mean grade of at least grade C+ (or equivalent), and,

ii) A minimum of grade C+ (or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics.

Or

iii) A level certificate with at least two principal passes and,

iv) A credit in Mathematics and English at secondary education level.

Or;

v) CILT professional certificate.

Or;

vi) A degree from a recognized university.

The units to be covered include:

  1. Management in Logistics and Transport
  2. Supply Chain Management
  3. Transport operations
  4. Production planning
  5. Warehousing and Inventory Management
  6. Sourcing and procurement

 

C. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE

Entry Requirements:

Secondary education (KCSE) certificate with mean grade of at least grade D+ (or equivalent)

The units to be covered include

    1. Business Theory
    2. Business Application
    3. Inventory management
    4. Procurement
    5. Freight Transport Operations
    6. Global Logistics
